Our Infant Program is designed to provide a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where children feel secure and supported as they begin their early learning journey. We understand that the transition from home to childcare is an important milestone for both children and families. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth and comforting as possible.
Each child is supported by a primary caregiver, an educator who develops a close and trusting relationship with the child. This educator is responsible for providing consistent care, guiding daily activities, and helping the child feel safe and secure in their new environment.
Our educators work closely with families to understand each child’s individual routines, sleep patterns, feeding schedules, and developmental needs. Through ongoing communication and partnership with families, we ensure that children’s changing needs are thoughtfully supported.
During this important stage of development, children are provided with experiences that support movement, sensory exploration, early communication, and social interaction. Our educators carefully observe children’s interests and provide meaningful opportunities that encourage curiosity and discovery.
The infant environment at Newleaf is designed to be peaceful, stimulating, and emotionally supportive. Our qualified educators provide gentle guidance and attentive care, helping children develop trust, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.
To support children’s comfort and well-being, our centre provides:
• A dedicated sleeping nursery
• Cribs or mats with linens and cotton blankets
• Well balanced Lunch program and nutritious snacks
• Safe and developmentally appropriate materials for exploration
We believe that maintaining strong connections with families is essential.
Our open-door policy allows parents to visit their child during the day, whether for cuddles, comfort, or breastfeeding.
